If the archive contains a DMG, double click it to mount the disk.After that, drag & drop the game icon into Applications (or another folder, Desktop will be fine too).New versions of MacOS block applications from identified developers. The Oregon Trail is a computer game originally produced by the Minnesota Educational Computing Consortium (MECC) in 1974, designed to teach school children about the life of 19th century pioneers. The game was extremely successful and was released for several other platforms including Apple II in 1985 and PC MS-DOS in 1990.
